The Opportunity
Our client stands out as a leading vineyard management group in Australia, overseeing both owned and operated vineyards across various winegrowing regions. Equipped with a well-defined WHS framework, they seek an experienced WHS professional to provide guidance and collaboration in the region, addressing health, safety, environment matters, and driving improvements in safety culture.
Due to growth and the regional location, this role requires a strong candidate who has the capability to work independently and coach and educate on all WHS matters.
The Role
With a reporting line to the General Manager, Health & Safety and a secondary reporting connection to the General Manager NSW, this position will be based in Griffith. The scope of work involves operations across the vineyards in this region, covering an expansive area of 3500 hectares.
They require an WHS professional with a robust personality who can engage with the business and coach vineyard managers and their teams in continually improving safety performance and drive a positive and engaged safety culture.
To be successful you must bring:
• Experience advising on WHS within a similar environment (preferred) or a keen interest in agriculture
• Operational safety experience within a blue-collar environment
• Proven ability to influence, coach and engage with stakeholders
• Confidence in your technical expertise to advise on all aspects of HSE
• Broad HSE skillset including auditing, training, risk management, investigations, systems implementation
• Formal qualifications in HSE/WHS (Diploma minimum)
• Relevant auditing qualification/ ICAM Lead investigator
