WHS & Return to Work Coordinator – PM shift
Beef City is currently recruiting for a WHS & Return to Work Coordinator - PM shift that possesses a desire to start training and develop a career within the business.
Reporting to the HR Manager , this position comprises employees relations and processes involved with WHS, Rehabilitation and Return to Work aligned with HR responsibilities on site. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a culture that promotes the wellbeing & safety of our team members through appropriate WHS culture.
The role’s responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct & follow-through investigations for Injuries, Near Misses or Hazards
- Participate of WHS Committee meetings.
- Drive initiatives and actions from the meetings.
- Ensure compliance with the JBS Health and Safety Management System.
- Review any updates to Standards, Codes of Practice, WHS Act and WHS Regulations to ensure site is compliant.
- Participate in internal and external audits ensuring site maintains compliance and implement any changes.
- Promote safety culture and awareness.
- Providing workplace rehabilitation within the guidelines of the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act.
- Providing support to business objectives within the area of Injury Management and Rehabilitation.
- Consulting and liaising with further medical providers, employees and all other stakeholders in regard to injuries.
- Communicating with Workers Compensation Self Insurance department.
About you
- Preferred formal qualifications in WH&S and Return to Work coordinator.
- Injury management experience and knowledge of WC & Rehab legislation would be preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams as required.
- Good computer literacy and ability to learn new systems in place.
- Ability to adapt to different environments and situations.
- Ability to work with a wide range of employees.
- Knowledge of manufacturing hazards ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and injuries.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on excellent listening and interaction skills / Good conflict resolution skills.
