The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Allied Health Practitioner – Advanced (Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Coordinator) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver advanced rehabilitation coordination/case management services in a specialist community rehabilitation setting, enhancing outcomes for clients and their families
- Deliver advanced clinical services, both discipline-specific and interdisciplinary, within prescribed professional and ethical standards
- Independently apply advanced professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting and defining routine clinical practice
- Provide advanced clinical advice, training and formal supervision to peers and to relevant external stakeholders regarding specialist knowledge of rehabilitation
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A relevant tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Worker or Speech Pathology
- While not mandatory relevant postgraduate training and/or qualifications would be well regarded
- AHPRA Registration or eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers or Speech Pathology Australia
- Drivers Licence
- Blue Card (GCH will cover cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to six months, with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $5395.60 - $5630.00 per fortnight
About Us
This position works within the Brain Injury Community Integration Service, it is an interdisciplinary team that provides post-discharge rehabilitation programs to improve the continuity of client care by emphasising co-ordination of services across inpatient, outpatient and community-based domains. The Community Rehabilitation Program provides a time limited and comprehensive multidisciplinary community based rehabilitation to adults over the age of 18 years.
