Wilson Island - Chef

Wilson Island is a true coral cay, located right on the Great Barrier Reef. Ribbonned by sugar white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of brilliant coral, discover a myriad of beautifully coloured marine life that takes everyone's breath away. The reef experience on Wilson is extraordinary, a unique encounter few other destinations in the world can offer. A near-perfect climate, Wilson Island is truly an amazing  place to visit - let alone live and work. 

Wilson Island is situated off Heron Island which in turn is some 80kms off the central Queensland coast from Gladstone. Accommodating a maximum of 16 adult guests the experience for our guests is 'barefoot', with raised ocean-view Reef Safari eco-tents to stay in, delicious food all day and night plus Australian beverages. All of which is offered on a fully inclusive basis. Just perfect.

To deliver this amazing experience we are seeking a qualified Chef. You will enjoy engaging with our guests, who, will be coming to Wilson Island from all over the world. You must have a genuine care for your craft and our guests.

What Wilson Island now needs is:

A Chef

• Experienced with intricate dining expertise.
• Spontaneous, flexible, innovative, creative, 
• Loves Australian produce, flavors, style.
• Creating a rotational base menu in a very remote location.
• Will be preparing all meals, snacks.
• Looking after your kitchen & facilities, cleaning and FSS plus.
• Coordinating orders, deliveries

Do not underestimate the challenges these roles will present. Being on point throughout the day and night is no easy feat - there is little let-up from being full-time hosts. Whilst there will be the opportunity here and there to do your own thing, it's not going to happen all of the time. A rotational cycle of 8 days on 6 days off with the potential to change depending on business needs. Single accommodation is provided with all meals and transfers provided. Shared accommodation is provided on Heron Island whilst on your week off.
