We are currently looking for a motivated, eager, and hardworking Head Chef to join the team at BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Carnarvon Gorge on a Full-Time basis. The Head Chef will be in charge of the brand new on-site kitchen, including the preparation and serving of restaurant quality food to our park guests and visitors to the region.
The Role
- As the Head chef, you will be responsible for the smooth daily running of the on-site kitchen including ensuring the kitchen stock is kept up to date.
- Preparation and design of all food and drinks menus.
- Plan, prepare and cook as per the kitchen's menus.
- Ensure you are following the relevant food rules, regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Adhere to any dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
- Oversee and supervise the assistant chef and kitchen hand staff.
- Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment, and utensils. This includes, but not limited to, cleaning all kitchen areas in accordance with a daily cleaning schedule: sweeping floors, mopping, washing dishes, wiping counters, cleaning stoves, fridge/s, and sinks.
- Comply with reasonable requests to assist the Caravan Park Manager/s in achieving park objectives of the restaurant and site.

Skills & Experience
- Qualification in Commercial Cooking and a proven working experience is essential.
- As this is a brand new kitchen, experience with setting up start up kitchens would be ideal, but not required
- Experience managing restaurants in a remote local would be favoured.
- A passion and drive to grow this new part of the business, alongside the Park Management team.
- Ability to manage well under pressure.
- A National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
- No pets allowed due to proximity to National Park
- Drivers licence and car essential
