Levantine Hill is an award-wining family-owned winery and vineyard in the Yarra Valley. We are a fast-growing company, operating a large single-site premium wine, tourism and hospitality business in Australia.
The business is set across our 3 major vineyards along the Maroondah Highway in the Yarra Valley. Levantine Hill Estate specialises in wine production and wholesale, functions, events, onsite restaurant and cellar door, and soon to open 33 room hotel (currently under construction).
The name Levantine Hill draws inspiration from the French-named Levant, meaning “where the sun rises”. “The Levantine” region is represented in the ancient biblical lands of the eastern Mediterranean. And that is where the story of Levantine Hill Estate began, many generations ago. Like our wines which have been crafted in the old-world ways, our food philosophy honours our Levantine heritage.
To support the company’s ambitious expansion plans, Levantine Hill is looking for an Export Business Manager.
Who We Are Looking For:
The Export Business Manager role requires an energetic and self-motivated individual, who has significant export sales experience and current contacts, along with a proactive approach and a passion for fine wine.
The primary objective is to establish new distribution export markets for Levantine Hill Estate (LHE), leveraging our unique story and uncompromising dedication to excellence.
Some of the Core Responsibilities:
To develop Levantine Hill Export markets.
- Seek out and develop new export markets,
- Present the Levantine Hill portfolio to potential new export partners.
- Represent Levantine Hill and the Owners in the most professional way possible.
- Significantly increase the sales of the Levantine Hill wine in export markets, aligned to yearly budget
- Foster relationships with major customers in Export markets to achieve the company’s strategy, plans and sales targets.
- Develop and Implement a Sales and Marketing Strategy for Export
- Develop and implement the brand and channel strategy for Export.
- Attend wine shows, events, tastings and other engagements on behalf of LHE
Export Sales
- Take the lead for opening up and managing export channels.
- Pursue new opportunities in the Export as per sales strategy.
- Coordinate and manage the execution of export contracts in consultation with the Sales Director.
- Plan shipment execution and logistics relating to export in conjunction with the Administration & Logistics Coordinator.
- Ensure regulatory and legislative compliance in the exports space.
- Manage and host premium trade and consumer wine tastings and events as required.
- Maintain Pipeline of opportunities and initiate and maintain CRM reporting.
- Seek out and develop new export sales opportunities.
Sales and Marketing
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and communicate any opportunities or threats to the brand.
- Strategically utilising and showcasing the company’s uncompromising quality approach and unique infrastructure to further cement the foundation for an iconic Australian wine brand.
- Understand and carry out activities that are in accordance with the marketing strategy.
- Maintain existing customer base and relationships to ensure business is retained.
- Ensure public relations activity achieves maximum exposure.
- Create programs to increase repeat business on an annual basis.
- Liaise effectively with the company’s Brand/Marketing, Winemaking, Cellar Door managers to streamline and synergise export sales opportunities.
