Form of workThe Boatshed Wine Loft is seeking a full time, enthusiastic Wine & Hospitality professional to assist the Manager in day-to-day operations of the Wine Store & Wine bar, and to ensure smooth running of the space.
The Boatshed Mezzanine Cheese and Wine Bar is the newest addition to the renown Boatshed Market in Cottesloe. The Boatshed Market is known for its commitment to the pursuit of excellence in the provision of the finest local and international produce throughout all departments.

About the Opportunity and You:
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about people, passionate about wine and spirits, curious and knowledgeable, an independent thinker, charismatic, service oriented, comfortable with a fast-moving pace and willing to move between the retail and hospitality space.
The role is multifaceted – you will be exposed to different parts of our business – retail, events & in-store tastings and our ever-expanding wine bar.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serving customers in our Retail Store
- Jumping in our Wine Bar when required (Open from 12 pm – 8 pm)
- Working under the direction of our manager
- Working at our premium wine showcases
- Assist in visual merchandising
- Receiving, Invoicing & unpacking stock
- Back-end POS Systems; Creating items, recipes & price campaigns.
- Staying up to date on industry trends, fads & new products
Full Time Assistant Manager role requirements:
- Minimum 2 Years in a similar role.
- Knowledge of wine is essential.
- Must be customer service orientated.
- Weekend and Evening work (Tuesday-Saturday Roster)
- Abide by company policies and procedures at all times.
- Arrive early and well presented for shifts.
- Must have a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and evolving workspace.
- Must be able to work under pressure and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Ordinary driver’s license: occasionally required to complete trips to the company warehouse and deliver to customers.
Qualification Requirements:
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is Required
- Approved Managers is Required.
- Food Handling Certificate Required
- WSET 2 or Equivalent - Recommended
