We are currently seeking applications for experienced full time Winery Cellar Hands. Successful applicants with be working with state-of-the-art equipment with competitive remuneration, great benefits and uniform supplied.
Winery Cellar Hands aim to ensure all cellar operations are conducted in a safe, efficient and hygienic manner in order to produce a high quality product in accordance with Wine Makers’ specifications.

Responsibilities:
• Set up and perform transfer, rack/blend of product from tank to tank
• Cleaning of tanks, equipment, hoses etc
• Cooling and warming of products
• Perform additions of additives and processing aids
• Domestic loading/unloading of trucks
• Loading of export containers (bulk / flexi tankers)
• Perform vintage cellar operations which include:
o Crushing
o Pressing
o Red must handling
o Centrifuge
o Rotary Drum Vacuum
o Decantering
• Perform confined space operations which includes handling of oak nuggets, lees and tank cleaning
• Emptying and filling of barrels
• Completion and recording of Work Order Sheets
• Completion and recording of Data Sheets
• Collecting dips and samples when required
• Dry ices and water traps
• Operation of fine or coarse filtration
• General housekeeping
• Adhering to Company WH&S Policy and Procedures.
Essential Requirements:
• Good organisational and planning ability
• Ability to work in accordance with standard operating procedures
• The ability to work in a team
• Have effective communication literacy and numeracy skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Hold Current Forklift licence (desirable)
• Confined Spaces Ticket (desirable)
Ability to work in confined spaces and forklift license would be an advantage. Must be physically fit, available to work shifts and have your own reliable transport. Starting hourly rate of $30.82
