We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our team.Job descriptionAs a Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for cutting, planing, turning, shaping, and sanding wood stock to meet detailed specifications. Your craftsmanship will be essential in producing high-quality products that uphold our standards of excellence.Key Responsibilities:
- Study drawings, work orders, and sample parts to determine specifications.
- Ensure minimal wastage of materials to enable us to meet the anticipated job costing.
- Identify and communicate to the Workshop Manager, where possible, if you see a foreseeable problem with the plans from a construction point of view.
- Determine tooling and machine requirements and sequence of operations.
- Set up CNC machines and wood stock for correct cutting, planning, turning, shaping, and sanding.
- Maintain and operate CNC machines to cut, plane, turn, shape, and sand work pieces.
