This role will be responsible for leading and managing a Workgroup within the manufacturing department at AME Systems, based in Ararat. As part of this you will oversee the effective management of daily production output for your Work Group and assist the coordinators in the functional management of staff and their workplace wellbeing,

The key elements of this role involve:
- Proactively managing the performance, engagement and development of your workgroup team ensuring all team members are successfully motivated, trained and supported
- Drive attainment of established team productivity, effectivity and KPI’s and provide feedback and reports to team members and management on a regular basis
- Be a role model to team members through support and collaboration
- Carry out daily briefings with the manufacturing leadership team relating to quality, OHS, and production as required
- Implement, operate and continuously improve processes in line with strategic and manufacturing business objectives
- Support business policies and procedures including corrective action processes
- Lead and facilitate constructive communication within your Work Group as well as across departments
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Manufacturing experience in medium size business
- Cert iv in Leadership/Management or equivalent experience
- Leadership and team management experience
- Innovative with a continuous improvement mindset
- Coaching and development skills
- Knowledge of OHS concepts and risk management
- Accurate timekeeping and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional level of report writing and computer skills
