Our Dream Candidate…
Ideally, we would like someone at the beginning of their career bringing sound warehousing supervision, and the interest in being further developed. You will be the Warehouse 2IC to the Warehouse Manager and play a key role in managing the efficient operations of the brand-new Warehouse facility in Dandenong South. We envisage you will have good levels of attention to detail, strong communication skills and a superpower that means you know exactly where things are at, in the warehouse at any given time. The facility has a stable and well-oiled team who are accustomed to coordinating shipments, managing inventory levels and deliveries as well as documentation within the wider business. You will need to have a hands-on commitment to getting things done and improving outcomes. Your previous exposure should include the Microsoft Office Suite and NetSuite, and exposure managing and analysing the data. A forklift license is essential as you run a small team for this hands-on position.
In addition, you will be holding a key role developing strong stakeholder management delivering service levels to exceed client expectations. You should be able to demonstrate your capacity to work independently, problem-solve, and take control of your function in an action-oriented fashion. Attitude, approach, energy and commitment levels will enable you to succeed. You will have both strong support and cross-training in a company where there is plenty of scope for development. You will bring a natural inclination where organizational and time management is concerned. Previous leadership exposure and the ability to delegate would be a definite advantage, along with your ability to demonstrate a history of optimizing warehouse operations.
