Opportunity for a Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to join the public sector in Hobart
Your new company
Hays are working with a Tasmanian organisation within the public sector in their search for a Work Health & Safety Advisor to join them on a permanent basis. This organisation is requiring two permanent full-time candidates that boasts the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight.
Your new role
Based in Hobart and reporting into the Principal Work Health and Safety, you’ll be contributing to the WHS unit plan surrounding policies, budget & organisational goals.The successful candidate for this role is a passionate WHS professional that can work collaboratively in a team to ensure that the Work Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to reduce risks of injury to internal and external stakeholders.The role requires the candidate to have the ability to investigate WHS incidents, liaise with Risk Management and the Return To Work Coordinator to promote the overall importance of WHS issues and safe working procedures to employees within the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a certification in Workplace Health & Safety and/or have proven work experience. As well as being a collaborative worker, you will have the ability to form working relationships with people across the organisation. You need to hold a strong work ethic but also be personable to be able to work with management and employees.
