Salary $75,430 - $79,070 p.a. (pro rata) ASO4 | Full Time, 6 Month Vacancy
Join the collaborative and professional Work Health and Safety team at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.
As the Work Health Safety (WHS) Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a prompt, comprehensive, effective, and efficient WHS compliance audit functions in accordance with the Work Health Safety Act 2012 (SA), SA Health Policy, SALHN procedures and National Accreditation Standards. You will work under the direction of the Injury Prevention Team Leader and in close partnership with Departmental Management, supervisors, employees and Health and Safety Representatives for facilitating the implementation of the WHS compliance audits across designated sites and contribute to identifying and assessing WHS hazards and risks.
Your role responsibilities include:
Coordinating and undertaking worksite safety inspections,
Coordinating WHS compliance audits, including Hazardous Substances and High-Risk Plant and Equipment system verification,
Review and maintenance of the WHS audit electronic software platform and monitoring of non-conformance or hazard activities,
Establishing audit checklists and criteria which support the audit verification process.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in a WHS compliance role within a self-insurer setting,
Previous administrative experience including report writing,
A proven record in relating to people at all levels in a large complex organisation, and
A good working knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to Work Health & Safety and Injury prevention.
