A pivotal role within our small, dedicated Agribusiness support team, based in our Roma office this position. Working autonomously, you'll partner closely with our operational property and feedlot managers to provide expert advice and information, develop practical solutions that ensures compliance and drives our continuous improvement in the safety of our work environment, the wellbeing among our team and promotes a positive safety culture across our properties, farms and feedlots.
With a proactive and hands on approach, you'll develop effective relationships and build trust at all levels to support managers and employees in understanding and meeting their WHS obligations through a range of activities including:
- Providing accurate, thorough and current interpretation and application of Work, Health & Safety/Worker's Compensation Acts, Codes of Practice and maintain awareness of legislative changes
- Maintaining Work, Health & Safety management system
- Facilitating risk assessments, hazard identification, risk assessment and management of controls
- Development and implementation of compliant policies, procedures and work instructions
- Maintaining audit schedules, coordinating third-party audits and site inspections
- Timely and accurate recording and reporting, data analysis, identifying trends and opportunities
- Applying best practice injury management, rehabilitation and return to work programs
- Workcover claims management & administration
- Effectively undertake incident investigations and root cause analysis to provide informed recommendations on improvements and future risk mitigation

Ideally suited to an approachable, down to earth safety professional who thrives on variety and is able to think and plan strategically, whilst delivering at the grass roots level.
With demonstrated practical experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within an agricultural environment and having worked across multiple locations, the successful candidate will bring:
- Cert IV or Diploma of WHS/OHS & Return to Work Coordinator qualifications
- Expert knowledge relevant legislation relating to Workers' Compensation and the Work, Health & Safety Act
- Excellent written and numerical skills with high attention to detail
- High level of customer service, with a focus on timely delivery
- Collaborative team player with excellent relationship building skills
- Highly proficient computer skills
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to operate calmly and logically in highly emotive and/or emergency circumstances
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to properties and feedlots located in regional Queensland locations
- Manual Driver's Licence
