Sedgwick is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team in the role of Workers Compensation Claims Manager on a part-time, initial 6 month contract basis. You will be responsible for managing the return to work of injured staff at engaged clients, and supporting injury management to deliver an early and safe return to the workplace following injury or illness.
What are my accountabilities?
- Manage client portfolio of injured employees and provide regular feedback
- Develop, implement and monitor return to work strategies to facilitate an early and safe return to work, particularly those of a complex and/or psychological nature
- Provide timely advice and information to clients and employees on health and wellbeing matters to support the successful return to work
- Monitor and report on the performance of rehabilitation providers to ensure service delivery standards and meet return to work outcomes
- Manage a caseload of injury management cases and report on performance against specified targets
About you:
- Min 2 - 3 years experience working within Workers Compensation Claims environments
- Strong knowledge of NSW and QLD Workers Compensation legislation
- Assess all new claims including accurate injury recording
- Working knowledge of legislative Workers Compensation framework & timeframes
- Ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and parties
- Ability to manage Workers compensation issues/procedures
- Well-developed computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft office
- Display a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to assist others
