About the Role
We are seeking a vibrant and highly motivated individual to join our People & Culture (P&C) department as a Workforce Administrator. This exciting position involves providing administrative support to our Talent Acquisition (TA) and Organisational Development (OD) functions, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and contributing to the growth and success of our team. We have multiple opportunities available, one being a fixed term part time Maternity Leave cover for 64 hours per fortnight that is expected to commence late February 2024 for 12 months and a permanent part time opportunity of 32 hours a fortnight. Please ensure you indicate in your application your preference. The hours of work are 8.30am - 5.00pm or 9.00am - 5.30pm, between Monday - Friday. This role can be based at any of our campuses across Ballarat, Stawell, Horsham or Edenhope. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare pre-employment contract and variation documentation in line with Grampians Health policy and recruitment business rules.
  • Coordinate and monitor administrative requirements in relation to appropriate and timely advertising of vacancies through appropriate and approved media applications.
  • Process & monitor pre-employment background including Police and/or Working with Children checks and immunisation clearance.
  • Ensure variations to employment contracts are accurately recorded on Mercury & reflected correctly in the payroll system.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support, preferably in the area of Recruitment and/or Human Resources.
  • Qualification in Business Administration or Human Resources or a commitment to working towards the same (preferred but not essential).
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills with demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Highly skilled in accurate word processing and data entry.
  • Customer Focus: Ensuring that the customer perspective is a driving force behind business decisions and activities; crafting and implementing service practices that meet customers’ and own organisation’s needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively autonomously with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
