Our Client is one of Australia’s largest wholesale distributors and exporters of fresh fruit and vegetables. They are currently seeking a Workforce & Community Engagement Officer for their innovative site based in regional NSW. Your direct Manager is passionate about people and will provide expert mentorship to enhance your capabilities and support you to be your best in this human resources oriented position.
This role is based in northern regional New South Wales (Armidale region) with relocation support on offer if required.

What will you be doing?
As the Community & Workforce Engagement Officer you will join the HR team where you’ll lead initiatives that further build on the fun, positive and people-focused culture. Our Client has over 600 staff from all backgrounds, and you will be key to engaging teams on site to enhance their employee experience. This is an organisation that has a strong community presence which gives you the chance to develop ideas for enhancing Community Engagement. We would love someone who is as passionate about their community as we are!
As this role is within human resources, you’ll also support performance management, employee development strategies and workforce planning activities. Every day in this role will be different and hence we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.
What do you need?
Primarily we’re looking for someone who is bubbly, positive and proactive. A true team player who is eager to immerse themselves in a versatile, multi-cultural environment. If you have a background in Administration, HR, Manufacturing, or people management, we want to hear from you. If you haven’t directly worked in these areas but you are organised, friendly and eager to further develop your long-term career, we encourage you to apply.
Other key requirements include:
- Great organisational skills to track and manage priorities
- Well-developed people skills with the confidence to engage with and influence people from multi-cultural backgrounds
- Experience in HR or similar roles would be desirable
- Intermediate computer skills to work with Microsoft Office and other company based systems
- An eagerness to interact with staff and the wider community.
