About the Role
As a key member of the Community Engagement Program (CEP) at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infectious Disease and Immunity, the Project Officer will facilitate Community Engagement and partnerships within the organisation. Responsibilities include coordinating accurate community pairing and engagement with researchers, maintaining processes for effective community involvement, and providing administrative support for program initiatives. This role is pivotal in fostering ongoing collaboration between researchers and community members to enhance community participation in infectious disease and immunity research.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Engagement Program (CEP)
  • Actively work with researchers to facilitate accurate community pairing and engagement.
  • Contribute to continuous community recruitment and engagement activities.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and community members. They must demonstrate competency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly SharePoint, and excel in collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve shared objectives. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate the ability to build rapport with stakeholders and strong organisational skills for administrative tasks.For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
