RAAFA is seeking an experienced part time Workforce Trainer to deliver, facilitate and evaluate training across our Residential Aged Care Facilities, Estates and other areas of our organization. This exciting position will provide you with the opportunity to be part of our amazing People & Culture Team where you will drive meaningful results.

This role will see you visiting our facilities and estates across WA in Meadow Springs, Merriwa and Bull Creek.

The Role:

  • Provide leadership and advice in the design of education and training programs/resources.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of education and training programs to meet the learning and development needs of staff.
  • Monitor performance and develop education and training for staff to ensure they are appropriately informed of policies, procedures and demonstrating a risk management approach to service delivery.
  • Manage and monitor education resources and assist with resource planning.


You will have:

  • Development and facilitation of training and development through a variety of methods (e.g. blended learning – online / F2F / elearning).
  • Experience in the delivery of training in accordance with adult learning principles.
  • A demonstrated understanding and application of contemporary education, training and development theory and practice in a healthcare or aged care environment.
  • Experience in the development, facilitation and evaluation of education and development interventions using continuous improvement principles.
  • Ability to provide leadership and facilitate effective teamwork.
  • Advanced level of interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Powerpoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc).
  • High level organisational skills.
  • A relevant post graduate qualification in education and development or business/human resources is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a Learning Management System (LMS) is desirable.

  • Be eligible to work in Australia;
  • Hold a current drivers’ license;
  • Have previous experience working in hotel services or a hospitality environment 
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;
