This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024

Ballajura Community College (CC) is seeking an organised, enthusiastic, and motivated Workplace Learning Coordinator to join their cohesive team.

The Workplace Learning Program is an important program for many students as they work towards creating meaningful employment pathways after school.

This essential role will coordinate Workplace Learning (WPL) and/or Vocational Education and Training (VET) operations for the College and will provide overarching support, leadership and guidance for students, staff, and the community on WPL and/or VET matters.

The role is complex, and the successful applicant will ideally be a highly organised and motivated individual committed to providing a quality service to students. The WPL Coordinator locates industry placements by fostering collaborative and positive partnerships with employers and therefore must possess excellent communication skills. The WPL coordinator will assist in developing and implementing systems and strategies that provide a robust and effective WPL program, provide administrative support within the area including monitoring the WPL budget and preparing relevant correspondence.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent time management skills, record keeping skills, and have considerable experience in maintaining accurate records, using various systems, software, and databases.

The WPL Coordinator will also arrange parent information sessions and provide support in student transition meetings to ensure positive outcomes for all students.

Ballajura CC provides a high-quality educational experience for all students and has remained committed to providing a range of flexible programs catering for all student interests, needs, and abilities. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), the College provides a range of certificate courses for students that complement their WACE courses of study. Demand for these courses continues to grow with many students completing a Vocational Education and Training (VET) Certification qualification as part of their The Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). We also provide an alternative program pathway, ACCESS, which has demonstrated outstanding success in engaging young people in education.
