Joseph Banks Secondary College (SC) is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Workplace Learning (WPL) Coordinator to join their team.
This important role provides overarching support and leadership across the VET and WPL space including brokering successful partnerships, communicating with all stakeholders and maintaining accurate records. The successful applicant should enthusiastically assist students' transition into viable post-school pathways through Secondary Graduation or out-of-school programs.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience and knowledge of VET programs and WPL in schools. They should be highly organised and motivated and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, the successful applicant should assist with related administrative processes including monitoring the WPL program budget, maintaining the WPL program database and preparing relevant correspondence.
Joseph Banks SC is an Independent Public School in the suburb of Banksia Grove, approximately 40 kilometres from the Perth Central Business District. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Skills and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating VET/WPL programs.
- Well developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports.
- Well developed oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels, facilitate college/industry partnerships and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Well developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and identify priorities.
