Workplace Technology Platform Manager

We are actively seeking an energetic, driven and collaborative Workplace Technology Platform Manager for one of our key clients. This is a critical leadership role, the successful candidate will bring extensive experience with leading teams of IT professionals in the delivery and support of critical Technology Platforms in the domains of Cloud, Infrastructure, End User Compute or Enterprise Systems.

Role summary:

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team that support, administer and maintain the critical public cloud environment, data centres, infrastructure hardware, network, compute, storage and virtualisation environment.

You will provide direction for the future state and design of the platform as well as lead and coach team members to successfully maintain a fully operational platform .

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, develop and retain a high-performing team with an emphasis on intent-based leadership and management accountability, best commercial practice and continuous improvement;


• Accountable for the availability and maintenance of all aspects of accountable platforms;


• Oversee the Lights-On administration and support lifecycles for accountable platforms;


• Champion development and implementation of the ICT Strategy and ICT Services Focus Areas, ensuring successful organisational change management to deliver and embed these changes;


• Lead the development of a five-year strategy and road-map / blueprint for accountable platforms;


• Develop annual operational plans by identification, design, implementation and ongoing support of general system improvements to the accountable platforms; and


• Manage and lead the migration of and deployment of major upgrades, updates and enhancements with support from vendors.



The type of person we are looking for:





• Extensive experience leading technical teams and supporting mission critical Technology Platforms including infrastructure and cloud;


• A leader with high energy that can energise other team members;


• Collaborative with a friendly but firm approach when needed;


• Ability to drive change, mentor team members;


• Large corporate experience is desirable;


• Ability to hit the ground running with a good understanding of what a heathy technical platform looks like;


• A strong knowledge of governance and processes and be a change agent;


• Proven knowledge and experience supporting and maintaining complex critical technology environments in any of the following areas:


• Citrix Platforms;


• Microsoft Product suites;


• Mobility Management Platforms;


• Video Conferencing Platforms;


• CCTV & Door Security Platforms;


• Telephony & Call Recording Platforms;


• Alerting & Monitoring Systems; and


• Cyber Security strategies and product suites.
