How will I Help?
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for management of existing financial adviser relationships to BT Platforms through world class sales and relationship management skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the retention of existing business and increase of Funds Under Administration (FUA) for advisers using BT platforms in the state in order to achieve sustainable revenue targets and increased market share. They lead the client management and growth effort of BT platforms in the Retail arena and actively review their clients for new business and transition opportunities that may be referred to the Business Implementation Manager (BIM). The BIM will induct any new Advisers to the Platform offering and work with the practice to migrate off platform monies to BT platforms.
The objective of this role is to ensure there is an appropriate strategy and execution plan to maximise the net flows into BT's products.
The core accountabilities of this role include:
  • Realise the opportunity identified in new practices secured
  • Retain and grow greater share of net flow and FUA from practices secured
  • Manage the relationship with accounts allocated
  • Coordination to ensure practice panel and region targets are achieved
  • Accountable for driving the agreed culture and community standards of being part of BT
  • Understand and leverage full BT Platforms Distribution offer
  • Participate in all regional based forums
  • Build strong and valued relationships with advisers by understanding their business and help them manage and grow their business, by identifying and implementing best practice of Panorama and associated systems.
  • Identify potential new business transition opportunities
  • Roll out new product enhancements to existing panel of advisers
  • Escalation point for all unresolved issues from the Adviser Support Officer or CR team, ensuring a great client experience for both the adviser and client.

What do I need?
To be successful you will have the following:
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
  • Broad understanding of advice, equities, insurance, investment, superannuation and retirement products, how they work, benefits and applications
  • Relevant business tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience (+4 years preferred)
  • A certificate indicating completed training in RG146 compliance in multiple areas (desirable).
  • 4+ years financial services industry experience (desirable)
  • Project management experience (desirable)
