With over 2,000 employees across NSW, VIC and QLD, we are focused on growing and developing a career path for all our employees.We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Workshop Controller, to work in our busy Jeep/Suzuki/Renault Departments in Narellan.Do you have what it takes?As a Peter Warren Workshop Controller, you will be someone who enjoys a challenge, working in a team environment carrying out practical and hands on activities.Responsibilities:
- Manage daily tasks for a team of technicians
- Manage Productivity and efficiency of technicians
- Prioritise Repair Orders in the workshop to ensure on time completion
- Assist with Technical problem solving
- Suggest additional work that is needed to the Service Advisor Team so the customer can be notified
- Make certain that work Repair Orders are completed correctly for Warranty procedures and ask for clarification if there are questions
- Maintain OEM workshop tools and equipment; follow safety practices; notify management if tools need replacement or new tools required
- Maintain adequate personal hand tools to enable all repairs to be carried out with minimum movement from vehicle
- Assist in expediting of parts orders to avoid wasting time waiting for parts.
- * Notify team Service Advisor Team if delays are expected or if a part needs to be ordered
- Manage Technicians if Repair Orders or work is temporarily not able to complete a job
- Give special attention to repeat repairs, so the problem is correct this time and future comebacks are avoided
- Compliance with the procedures and policies of Peter Warren Automotive
- Relevant work experience and trade qualifications
- Previous Workshop Controller experience (Preferred but not Essential)
- Current driver's license
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Team Management Experience
- MVTC essential
- Air-Conditioning License (Preferred but not Essential)
- ASCIS & AUVIS License (Preferred but not Essential)
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Demonstrates care and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Works well within large teams and follows processes/instructions
