Mercedes-Benz Ringwood, one of Melbourne's leading authorised Mercedes-Benz passenger car dealers, has an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join one of the world's best luxury automotive brands as Workshop Foreman / Team Leaderat our dealership.
As a Workshop Foreman, you will be assisting the Workshop Manager for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Mercedes-Benz workshop, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring that all vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Coordinate and prioritise workload to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of jobs
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to technicians
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with Mercedes-Benz standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Communicate with Service Advisors to keep them up to date with repair progress
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments, such as service and parts, to ensure seamless operations
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer training and technical bulletins
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a Mercedes-Benz workshop or similar environment preferable
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent technical knowledge of Mercedes-Benz vehicles
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mercedes-Benz certification or equivalent
- Experience with dealership management systems (ERA Power)
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with software applications
