AddressST Engineering & Hardwood Forest products based in Kilsyth is seeking a Workshop Leading Hand, this is an office & hands on role.
Hardwood Forest products specialise in the manufacturing of forestry & earthmoving attachments.
ST Engineering is focused on the manufacturing, repairs & installation of fixed and mobile plant equipment for the Earthmoving, Construction and Recycling industries.
About the Role
As the Leading Hand, you will lead a team of 7-10, you will work closely with the team ensuring our tasks are met in a timely manner and help to streamline the factory floor and ensuring all workmanship is of a high quality standard. Your position has plenty of variety and if you are an analytical thinker, you will enjoy leading and working alongside this team!
Key Accountabilities
- Managing fabrication hours.
- Delegating tasks to team.
- Ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Providing updates/ reporting on variations to projects and impacts to timelines.
- Various welding & fabrication tasks.
- Project Planning
To be successful in the role:
- Ability to lead a team and be part of that team.
- Must have and be able to demonstrate leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to interpret engineered drawings for fabrication, machining and assembly purposes.
- Must have experience within the industry
- Must have computer skills
- Must have current working rights for Australia with no restrictions.
- Current Driver’s License.
