SG Off Road Wonthaggi consists of a showroom, warehouse, and automotive workshop, and is generally responsible for servicing retail, dealer, and trade reseller customers throughout the local area. The Workshop Manager is required to assist in achieving, and preferably exceeding all business development with workshop output and efficiencies and is accountable for the efficient, effective, and profitable operation of the SG Off Road Wonthaggi workshop.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of Qualified Automotive Mechanics, Qualified Automotive Electricians, Accessory Technicians and Apprentices.
- Coordinating workshop activities and assigning tasks to the Workshop staff utilising our AMWIN software program.
- Staff Culture and engagement.
- Ensuring the Workshop delivers a consistent and exceptionally high level of customer service and workmanship and further assisting the Service advisor and Branch Manager in ensuring this onflows through the business.
- Providing hands on teaching and assistance where required.
- Contributing to the efficient and timely running of the workshop in line with expenditure budget goals set by the company.
- Maintaining an acceptable (preferably on time) delivery rate.
- Attending special events and 4X4 shows if required.
- Assisting Sales staff when required
- Providing support and workplace feedback to Management and the owners, including marketplace issues and warranty information, staff culture and day to day activities.
- Implementation of new procedures and processes
- Assisting the Branch Manager with workshop administration and reporting
- Stock and inventory management, including rolling and annual stocktake.
- Assisting with running workshop training and information sessions, communicating the requirements for upskilling and training with colleagues
- Champion the customer experience with any team member & Public contact
- Process adherence leading to accurate Inventory management.
- Process adherence with all aspects of OH&S requirements, always ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with local businesses regarding supply and knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager and Service Advisor to maintain clean and streamlined pathways of communication between the Workshop and the Retail showroom
- Accountability and responsibility for the end product

Remuneration for this position will be experience based.
