The company is based in Prestons NSW and operates out of a brand-new state of the art workshop, which is conveniently located minutes from the M7/M5 motorways.
About the Role:
As the Service Supervisor for our AAH (Australian Access Hire) service department, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running and operations of the AAH Workshop/Field Service technicians. You will be leading a skilled team of Field Service & Workshop technicians supported by a strong administrative team. Our service team are required to carry out minor to major repairs, service, and maintenance on various construction machines with a core focus on access equipment in particular the Genie and JLG brands. As well as Dieci Australia range of telehandlers.
The suitable and successful candidate will be a fully trade qualified, self-motivated, and energetic person, with great attention to detail. You will have an established high standard of excellence and display an attitude that will complement the company’s commitment to customer service which will be reflected in your leadership style.
***This role would ideally suit an experienced/current Service Supervisor/Foreman who has strong experience working within the Service Department of a equipment rental business***
About you
- A mechanical trade qualification is required (in either Heavy Vehicle/Plant Mechanic) and previous exposure to construction, lifting, access and material handling equipment would be beneficial.
- Experience working within/operating to budgets (P&L)
- Experience with day-to-day managing, overseeing, and supervising a team of technicians.
- Sound administrative skills to ensure correct documentation is accurately recorded and processed to the admin team and senior management in a timely manner.
- Solid communication skills, time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Must be computer literate and experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
- Well organised with a strong attention to detail and a high level of pride in your work quality is essential.
- Positive can-do attitude and strong worth ethics towards teamwork, safety and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated competency in reading schematic drawings (electrical & hydraulic)
- Previous experience working with EWP’s, Telescopic Handlers, Materials Handling Equipment will be highly regarded, however full training can be provided for the right applicant.
