We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor to run our team in Karratha. The successful candidate will be head and shoulders above everyone in Karratha. This person will ensure the highest standards of safety and service are delivered to Northfleet internal fleet and also our external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Operations Manager to coordinate safe and timely vehicle servicing, repairs and inspection schedules to ensure optimum operational efficiency.
- Prepare, supervise and control all workshop activities
- Manage technicians and apprentices to ensure the highest of safety and quality standards are maintained
- Responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Actively responsible for the services, mechanical repairs and maintenance of the fleet and outside customers
- Work allocation and ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained
- Manage corrective campaigns for fleet defects, recalls and warranty replacements
- Communicate work progress to management including time frames and costings
- Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and liaise with spare parts department to ensure that the correct inventory is included for repair orders
- Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained
- Assist with review and quoting of vehicle damage for customers
- Assist in completing servicing and repair duties of the fleet to meet operational requirements
- Attend mine site and remote areas for vehicle breakdowns and servicing requirements
- Monitoring the use of materials and equipment to minimise waste and damage
- Assist parts inventory to maintain stock levels to enable servicing and repairs to be completed without delay
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic – essential
- Hold a Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Certificate
- At least 5 years Previous experience in leading a workshop team
- Excellent customer service focus
- High standards of maintenance and service keeping records
- Superior diagnostics and fault-finding skills
- Previous experience working on buses and trucks (desirable)
- Valid MR driver’s licence
- Ability pass regular industry standard drug and alcohol testing
- Strong work ethic and ability to work calmly to meet deadlines
- Proficient computer skills
