Macadamia Farm Management (MFM) was established in 1987 in response to an increasing demand for specialist, high quality farm management in the macadamia industry. MFM is now Australia's largest manager of trees for both private individuals and companies. About the role:
Your focus will be to support the supervision of mechanical workshop jobs and employees. You will be repairing and maintaining a vast range of equipment, tractors, vehicles in a timely and effective manner. You must have a positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
This role has the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Workshop Manager with the overall coordination and execution of daily workshop operations.
2. Servicing and mechanical repairs to vehicles, tractors and equipment
3. Welding and fabricating new and existing equipment
4. Oversee all maintenance and repairs of farming equipment, vehicles and processing machinery
5. Formulate preventative maintenance schedules to ensure safe and effective use of equipment
6. Purchasing of all required parts / consumables and managing stock levels
7. Continually monitor and evaluate the efficiency of operations, equipment and work practices providing ongoing suggestions for improvement.
Key Selection Criteria for this position:
1. Trade qualification and/or proven mechanical and fabricating experience (essential)
2. Previous experience with repairs and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment (desirable)
3. Demonstrates high attention to detail and accuracy
4. Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks
5. Previous experience working with, and applying Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
6. The ability to complete physically complete demanding tasks in a safe manner
7. Current Forklift license (desirable)
