IDS GeoRadar, a global leader in Ground-Based Interferometry and Ground Penetrating Radar solutions operating under the Hexagon group, is committed to driving innovations in business processes, value chains, and information exchange. Our focus lies in manufacturing and selling monitoring systems tailored for the mining and engineering sector. In line with our expansion and project requirements, we are currently seeking an individual to address our customers' needs across the diverse range of GeoRadar products we offer.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Supporting IDS GeoRadar products and systems at Hexagon premises
- Identifying problems with IDS GeoRadar systems and repairing / replacing / re-configuring equipment as required
- Installing, loading software, configuring, commissioning, etc for new systems and for system upgrades
- Taking ownership and responsibility for customer issues and problems and seeing them through to resolution wherever possible
- Representing IDS GeoRadar in a helpful, professional and courteous manner at all times
- Utilising relationships developed with customers and other contacts to advise sales team of potential issues affecting customers as well as other opportunities
- Completing reporting and documentation requirements in a timely manner
- Compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself / herself and the safety of others
- Other duties as required from time to time
Skills and Experience
- Trade certificate or equivalent in Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation, Communications (preferred but not essential)
- Sound knowledge of 12v and 24v battery systems
- Sound knowledge of basic Microsoft systems
- Hand tool experience
- Keen interest in providing a superior level of customer service and support to our clients
- Willingness to learn new skills and be trained in HxGN’s electronic products
- Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good computing skills, trouble-shooting, administration tasks and emails
