About the role
Due to our rapid growth, we have a requirement for a Workshop Technician to be based from our Campbellfield branch.
This is an integral role in the business and day-to-day will include:
- Assembly of all types of hose and fittings. This will involve use of the following equipment – cut off saw, crimping machines, internal swaging machine, reusable hose fitting machine and other sundry equipment.
- Fabrication of hose ends, adaptors, etc. This will involve use of a lathe, tube bending tools, silver brazing and other sundry machining operations (training will be provided)
- Welding would be an advantage, MIG, TIG, ARC but not essential.
- Pressure Testing of all types of hose assemblies.
- General ‘housekeeping’ in Workshop area
- Ensure that work is carried out to the highest quality level;
- Ensure continuous improvement to service levels and look for better ways to do things
- You may also assist in on-site installation/service work, deliveries etc, as and when required
This is a great opportunity for any type of mechanically minded persons or persons with a mechanical trades background such as fitters, mechanics or anyone that considers themselves a jack of all. Experience working on hydraulics would be highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided.
To succeed in this role, you will have a disciplined and mature work ethic, as well as the ability to work unsupervised and a can-do attitude.
