About the Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, Mediquip now has an opportunity for a full-time Workshop Technician to join their VIC team.
No two days are the same for this autonomous role as your responsibilities will include carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs and calibrations across a diverse range of medical equipment and a varied customer base. For example, one day you may be repairing a faulty benchtop sterilizer, and the next you may be performing preventative maintenance on IVF incubators for a fertility centre.
The scope of jobs will primarily be electro-mechanical related; however, you may also be required to service medical gas resuscitation equipment.
There is a low level of customer interaction/service required, as you will at times be required to liaise with a range of industry professionals.
About You
This is a biomedical service position so previous biomedical service/repair experience will be beneficial but not an essential requirement to be successful. This position may be well suited to a variety of trades backgrounds, as it is a diverse technical role. Training and support will be provided for clinical aspects. Mediquip is looking for someone with a string set of core skills (emphasis on fault finding and mechanical aptitude) and keenness to learn - if you can demonstrate this, they will teach you the rest!
Although not essential, the below will be highly regarded.
- Biomedical Engineering degree or diploma
