Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly organised and personable individual to join our team as a Medico-Legal Receptionist/Office Manager. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, solicitors, and medical experts, ensuring a smooth and professional experience throughout their interactions with our organisation. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

We are also currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medico-Legal Typist. The ideal candidate will have exceptional typing skills, a strong grasp of medical terminology, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

Medico-Legal Reception Duties:

  • Greet clients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, creating a welcoming environment for all who enter our premises.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence and assist with preparing and organizing documents for medical reports, legal briefs, and court proceedings.
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for all expert witnesses.
  • Assist in the coordination of medico-legal assessments, ensuring all necessary documentation and resources are prepared in advance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence to support the smooth operation of the office.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and workflow within the organization.
  • Handle billing and invoicing tasks, including processing insurance claims and payments.

Typist duties include:

  • Proven experience as a typist or transcriptionist, preferably in a medical or legal setting.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent) and transcription software.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and legal terminology (advantageous).
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a medical or legal setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
