About the Role:
Calling all passionate VCE Maths teachers! Tradewind is excited to collaborate with an Senior School in Tarneit, working with students in years 11-12, teaching General Maths, starting in Term 1, in a full-time ongoing opportunity.
Key duties:
Develop and implement a comprehensive VCE Maths curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum guidelines, possibly covering General/Further Maths classes.
Create engaging and rigorous lesson plans that address the specific content and skills required for success in VCE Maths subjects.
Prepare students for the VCE Maths examinations by teaching content, problem-solving strategies, and examination techniques.
Administer practice exams and assessments to gauge students' readiness and identify areas for improvement.
Utilize technology tools and resources effectively to enhance VCE Maths instruction, including graphing calculators, mathematical software, online resources, and digital learning platforms.
Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in VCE Maths education, teaching methodologies, curriculum developments, and assessment strategies
Skills & Experience:
Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
Previous experience in teaching VCE Maths a must
Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
