Centurion Transport in Perth is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Yard operations department full-time as a Freight Officer. Tasks & Responsibilities
- Operating various sized forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
- Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
- Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide
- Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
- Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
- Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times
Requirements of the role
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Preferred experience with general freight and restraining loads
- Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
- Preferred scanning experience
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
