Yard Manager Position
Girri Birrang Infrastructure (Kalaru Yard) are on the search for a Yard Manager with more than 12 months of local experience.
About the Position:
- $ 34-$36 Per Hour + overtime. Weekly pay
- Based in Kalaru, 15 Minutes from Bega
- Long-Term, Permanent Full-Time Position

- Expect 50 Hour Weeks! (Permanent Full-Time + Overtime)
- Maintaining the yard in a clean and organized condition: Sweeping, pressure washing, removing debris, and ensuring proper storage of equipment and materials.
- Loading and unloading trucks and trailers: Operating a possie, a loader, an excavator and HR License and there equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assisting with equipment upkeep and maintenance: Basic cleaning, minor repairs, and reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Inventory management: Tracking stock levels, organizing deliveries, and maintaining accurate records.
- General site housekeeping: Keeping rest areas, walkways, and common areas clean and tidy.
- Supporting other team members with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, customers, suppliers and colleagues.
About you:
- Ability to work under pressure, work unsupervised and has a flexible approach due to varying day to day. The Yardman must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Experience as a yardman is necessary. Ideally you have a background in civil, but you can also have a background working with quarry type materials or from a tip.
- HR license, excavator and loader license.
