Ecocycle is one of Australia’s most dynamic recycling businesses with a proud family ownership and management. Ecocycle is part of an experienced national recycling group that provides a range of recycling services / solutions for Metals, Batteries, E Waste and Mercury Bearing Wastes around Australia.
Our St Marys site in NSW is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic team leader that can bring a flexible and self-motivated, can do, positive attitude to work every day. They need to be able to respond calmly, defuse and resolve situations, and manage outcomes in a professional and friendly manor. You will need to have a high attention to detail with the ability to follow things up to their conclusion and have great communication and people management skills.
About the role:
- Full Time - 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Some extra hours may be required from time to time.
- Salary is negotiable for the right candidate.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage a team of around 5- 10 staff and report to Head Offices in Victoria.
- Lead and support operations on a day-to-day basis.
- Learn and mentor the roles of all direct staff are doing and understanding those processes and procedures.
- Managing logistics and client communications and being responsive to driver issues, concerns, and problems.
- Great clear communication, remaining calm under pressure and able to make decisions on the go.
- Hands on ability to help with a lead by example “can do” team attitude.
- Liaise with Head Office arranging the servicing and repairs of site plant and equipment.
- Manage an EPA licensed facility, and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and AS/NZS 5377 Certified site.
Required Experience and Skills
- Ability to think on your feet and be the problem solver, handling more than one task.
- Have exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail - taking pride in the business and treating it as your own.
- Need solid computer skills, and the ability to plan, arrange, follow up, see tasks through to completion, and manage.
- Forklift and truck driving experience would be highly valued.
