Yard Operative / Forklift Operators

The Company            

Sideloader Express Transport is a proud South Australian family owned business, with over 30 years' experience in Transport, Warehousing, Container unpack/pack, Full-service empty Container Park and Project Logistics.

The Role:

Due to business growth and expansion we are currently seeking to fulfill additional roles within the depot, warehouse team and unpack team. Working directly and supporting the Warehouse operations manager and Yard co-ordinator as well as acting as the first point of contact for operations to ensure deadlines are met.

The successful Candidate will demonstrate:

• Assisting the leadership team with pre-planning unpacks for next days schedule
• Loading out trailers with OOG LCL for local deliveries
• Assist with operating yard truck to pull trailers around the yard for loading
• Operate MHE (Forklifts) to load / unload vehicles
• Assist in Loading Export and unload Import sea containers
• Compliance with all relevant depot policies and procedures and in particular those relating to OH&S
• Assist and participate with continuous improvement projects
• Responsibility for the security of all goods and equipment in the warehouse 

As part of this role you will be exposed to a range of freight requirements, including dangerous goods, quarantine freight and bonded cargo. Those who don’t have previous experience in these areas will receive training and undertake the relevant accreditation process, which is a great opportunity to expand your skill and experience base. Both roles will be based over two warehouse sites meaning not one day is the same with a vast variety of work and also multiple starting and finishing times to suit work/life balance.

Requirements:

• Must have a HRW and experience with operating a vast majority of large equipment.
