Yard Supervisor

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise operational activities to ensure prompt delivery of freight
• Coordinate and supervise operational activities to ensure prompt processing and loading of freight, to ensure on time delivery in full
• Lead and guide the team of 20 employees
• Manage team training, performance management and rosters
• Provide daily / weekly reports to Operations management team
• Responsible and accountable for ensuring a safe working environment and reporting and investigating, safety incidents or concerns to your Manager
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant OH&S requirements
• Conforming to quality systems and procedures
• Foster a strong team culture

Skills & Experience

• Experience in the Transport & Logistics industry
• Forklift ticket advantages
• Experience leading a small team in loading of vehicles/trucks - Desired
• Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
