Overview
A fantastic leadership opportunity is available for an Executive Officer/Director of Nursing to provide strategic and operational leadership, governance and direction for the nursing/midwifery services within Burra and Snowtown Hospitals.
The focus of this role is on the development and implementation of frameworks and systems within which nursing/midwifery staff practice, and on monitoring and evaluating clinical practice and service delivery standards. The Executive Officer/Director of Nursing will be an expert manager, practicing at an advanced level, and have an extended scope of practice with a high degree of autonomous decision making.

Eligibility
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse, Nurse/Midwife or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with five years post registration experience as a Nurse/Midwife.
With demonstrated experience in management including personnel, finance and strategic planning and leadership, The successful applicant will bring the ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential. Effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation, will hold the applicants in good stead for this role.
