As Gija Youth Program manager you will provide..
Strategic and operational leadership to the Gija Youth Program.
Plan and deliver youth activities that promote positive social and emotional wellbeing, and attempt to divert youth from anti-social behaviours.
Activities including Young Men's and Women's Nights, local basketball league bush trips on school holidays TAFE Courses and Kimberley sports competitions. Manage effective relationships with external contractors, consultants and volunteers.
Confident to liaise with the local school, art centre, police & corrective services & others. Manage and mentor all Gija Youth Program Staff. demonstrated experience working effectively with at risk young aboriginal people ,their families and community.
Experience to successfully apply for government and/ or other grants and comply with acquittal and reporting obligations.
Manage program finances including budget tracking in cooperation with external accountants
Other relevant duties as required
Subsidised WCI accommodation is available to the successful applicant .
C Class WA Drivers licence, WA Working With Children and Police Clearance (or unencumbered ability to obtain)
