About the roleThis new part time opportunity is located in the Logan area, working as an Administrative Coordinator for one of our Youth Residential programs. There is a strong emphasis on administrative tasks as the role is primarily office based, however there will be an expectation for the successful candidate to interact with clients and support our Residential Support Workers with direct care work when required. Possessing a strong background knowledge of the Youth Residential Out-of-Home Care framework will be highly regarded.
Working under the direction of our Residential Operations Manager, the Administrative Coordinator will complete day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to record keeping & report compilation whilst ensuring compliance with agreed standards and audit requirements. You will also work closely with the Residential Operations Manager to ensure the daily running of the program is efficient, effective and meets departmental expectations, whilst providing an element of supervisory and coordination responsibilities to the team.
In addition, the Administrative Coordinator will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders including the Silky Oaks Corporate Services Team and the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services.
This role is a great stepping stone to gain experience and knowledge to one day progress your career from direct care into a management role.
This new role is a part time opportunity, starting at three (3) days per week (48 hours per fortnight), with the ability to flex up as and when required. Flexibility is also available Monday to Friday by negotiation, considering the operational needs of the program.

About youTo be considered for this administrative role, you will require:
- A minimum Certificate IV in an approved community services qualification (or evidence of enrolment) – or willingness to enroll in such a course
- Experience working within the Qld Out of Home Care framework in a direct care role
- Passion and drive for wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, together with strong administrative, organisational and IT skills

- Hold and maintain a valid Australian Drivers Licence "C" Class (Opens preferred) with no restrictions
- Have Australian Citizenship or a ‘Right to Work’ in Australia
- Be willing to undergo a full Criminal History Check (LCS2)
- Apply for Working with Children Card (Blue Card-Paid) if not already held
- Obtain a traffic & licence history check
- You may also be required to undergo random drug and alcohol testing
