Our client located in Chirnside Park is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for ongoing work. This is on day shift 7:00am to 3:00pmDuties will include:-Responsible for the timely accurate completion of all maintenance and breakdowns
Ensure that paperwork and documentation is recorded accurately and in accordance with company standards
Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to ensure optimal running of equipment and machinery
Checking parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using measuring instruments
Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts
Working in accordance with safety procedures and reporting any hazards
Perform low voltage electrical disconnect and reconnect electrical installation work (ideally)
Essential Criteria:-Trade qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Restricted Electrical licence (ideally)
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Maintenance Fitter role.
Ability to follow Safe Operating Procedures
Abe to perform metal work and welding
Strong communication skills
Competent with Microsoft Office (email, Word and Outlook)
Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical and machinery breakdowns.
