About the role:
We are looking for people who want to turn their passion into their purpose. We are currently seeking a part time Youth Support Worker to join our team in Emerald.
Our Youth Support Workers are focused on achieving the following outcomes for young people aged 8 – 21 years of age who are at risk of disconnecting from their family or community:
Increased numbers living at home with family
Increased safe and stable accommodation
Increased engagement in employment ready opportunities, or in training or education opportunities
Increased safety and a reduction in self-harming and suicide.

Mandatory Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check Positive Notice or Exemption)
Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (Disability Services Positive Notice or Exemption Notice)
Tertiary qualifications and experience in a discipline relating to the Behavioural Sciences or equivalent OR,
Extensive previous experience in a similar role working with young people within a medium to large organisation is desirable
