About the role
A Youth Support Worker is responsible for ensuring a high level of care provision to participants daily. Support workers must maintain duty of care, safety for themselves and the participants and a high level of professionalism.
We are looking for experienced Youth Workers to care for a behaviourally complex child.

Core Duties/ Attributes
Support children with complex needs
Support children that show physical and verbal agression
Positive Behaviour support as directed in individual plans.
Attending medical appointments and selected social outings.
Following emergency guidelines as required.
Supporting individuals from a range of backgrounds and assisting them achieve their goals.
Administering medications as charted.
Supporting people with complex needs.
Liaising with various stakeholders as required to support participants.
Managing and reporting care needs as they arise.
Documentation according to legislative requirements.
Able to do 24-hour shifts with Youth, a minimum 3 days a week.
Be able to deliver care in a person-centered way.
Be able to commit to consistent shifts.
Display reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
The ability to problem-solve, make sound decisions and follow policies and procedures.
Completion of the relevant training and education requirements.

Skills and Experience
Excellent communication skills.
NDIS Worker screening check or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
Smart phone with the ability to install relevant applications.
Current First Aid or willingness to attain one prior to employment.
WA Drivers licence and own fully insured transport.
Have appropriate visa to work in Australia.
Working with Children Check.
Relevant screening from the Department of Communities.
