Interactive Community Care provides support for children and young people, people with mental health, intellectual, sensory and physical disabilities.
This role is to engage and support children and young people who are in various residential, alternate care and/or community settings.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum qualification in Community, Youth or Mental Health at Certificate IV level, with preference at Diploma level
- Twelve months paid experience in a similar role
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Current Working With Children Check (for paid employment)
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal Check
- Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in record keeping and file maintenance
- Availability to work various times (Day, Evening, Nights and weekends)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with challenging behaviours in a residential, OOHC or community setting.
- Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
