AddressThis role will involve;
- Playing a key role in managing the 24 hour youth services provided by the ACT Youth Homelessness Crisis Accommodation Program
- Develop strong connections with young people to understand and address their immediate needs. Provide tailored support based on detailed, client-centered, and adaptable case plans that help young individuals achieve their goals.
- Ensure young people have access to relevant services and support options from both internal networks and external agencies, advocating on their behalf when necessary.
- Facilitate center-based and life skills training programs, ensuring they remain relevant to the needs of the young people.
The requirements for this role include;
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV level) in Youth Work, Social Work or related field
- Experience working as a Youth Worker supporting vulnerable children
- Demonstrate understanding, empathy, and appreciation while promoting the organization's values and ethos.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging young people of varying cultural, racial, socio-economic and educational backgrounds
