The role: This is a brand new opportunity for a driven Accounts Payable Officer to join a fun and vibrant team. This is a full function position and requires an effective communicator with experience in dealing with demanding stakeholders. There is a strong focus on building relationships with sub contractors and project managers.
Duties:
Perform full function AP related duties including processing supplier invoices, employee-related expense claims and third party payments
Liaise with subcontractors and the project team to ensure payments are made efficiently
Respond to supplier account queries and resolve any invoice discrepancies
Produce monthly AP reconciliation report and ensure this reconciles to supplier statements
Assist with month-end closing reports and reconciliation
Project work and process improvements
Requirements:
A minimum of two years accounts payable full function.
You must have excellent communication skills; both verbally and written
The ability to demonstrate a methodical approach to work processes;
Integrity – must be able to demonstrate and maintain high ethical standards of conduct;
To be able to work independently as well as a team player and be able to meet strict deadlines.
Excellent time management and organisational skills;
The ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail is essential;
The desire to achieve agreed outcomes is essential.
Experience working in construction or dealing with subcontractors is highly desired.
