Job description

About the roleThis position is responsible for performing a range of administrative and Property Officer duties at the Robinvale Police Station. The role will require the successful applicant to perform a wide range of administrative duties and data entry including the management of property. This position reports directly to the Robinvale Officer in Charge. The role will require the successful applicant to work in a team environment and provide administrative support to the Robinvale and surrounding Police Stations and may require travel from time to time. The role will require the applicant to liaise with internal and external customers.Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.As the successful applicant your duties will include:Key duties of the position include:
  • Perform a variety of computerised and manual administrative tasks.
  • Performing data entry with a high-level of attention to detail across multiple Victoria Police databases and applications.
  • Provide general administration support to the Robinvale Cluster.
  • Being the initial point of contact for property queries.
  • Auditing of exhibits.
  • Manage archiving and destruction of records.
  • Attend enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice as required.
  • Receive, record and distribute mail and correspondence.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures as required.
  • Assisting in maintaining good governance of systems, processes and compliance.
  • Ordering of supplies as required.

Requirements and relevant information
  • One full time, ongoing VPS2 position available
  • VPSX: $56,834 - $72,985 p.a. plus superannuation
  • The usual place of work will be Robinvale Police Station. However, you may be expected to work out of any location within Western Region Division 6, as required.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
